From new locations for existing favorites to brand-new options on campus for the first time, exciting changes are cooking in IU Dining for the 2025-26 academic year!
Coming this fall
Starbucks & poke
Read Hall will reopen for the fall semester with a brand-new Starbucks—the third on campus, in addition to locations at McNutt and the Indiana Memorial Union—and a Poke by Sushi King.
Drew Smith, Director of Retail Operations at IU Dining, said Sushi King at the Hodge Hall Campus Cafe is one of the most popular concepts on campus.
"Students have loved the poke bowl and boba option at Hodge, and and we’re excited to add a second location to help meet student demand," he said. The Read location will expand to include hot chicken teriyaki and veggie rice bowls, among other hot bowls.
Sushi King meals are available as part of the IU meal plan as Combo Meals and non-meal plan holders may purchase individual meals on site.
Wright back in action
Wright Quad will be back with a fresh new look and eight dining concepts designed to bring more variety, flavor, and convenience to the campus dining experience. Highlights include:
- A Worry Free allergen-friendly station offering safe, delicious meals for those with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
- A build-your-own sandwich bar stacked with fresh breads, premium meats and cheeses, and all your favorite toppings.
- A made-from-scratch breakfast concept where you'll find real, fresh eggs cooked to order, hearty breakfast meats, and morning favorites made just the way you like them.
Wright is comparable in size to Forest and McNutt, offering the space to quickly deliver quality, diverse dining options in a comfortable space designed for volume. Whether you're looking for a quick bite between classes or a sit-down meal with friends, Wright Quad will be your go-to spot for quality, variety, and convenience.
New at Bookmarket
Bookmarket at the Wells Library will reopen as a food court (like the IMU) with some brand-new options. Purchase a meal on site or use a Combo Meal scan from your IU meal plan.
Patrons will enjoy fresh salads and soups at The Greenhouse; hot sandwiches at The Meltdown; made-to-order smoothies and bowls from Blenz Bowls; and a King’s Hawaiian chicken concept with hand-breaded fresh chicken sandwiches and chicken strips cooked daily by our chefs. IU Executive Chef David Tallent created the special blend of seasonings and spices that flavor the new chicken offerings.
